The Wireless & Networking Group studies wireless and mobile networking, performance evaluation, distributed systems and algorithms.
The current focus of the group is on:
- Technologies for low-cost broadband access in rural and remote areas
- Protocols and architectures for next-generation wireless networks (including mesh networks) with emphasis on dynamic spectrum management and cross-layer adaptation
- RFID sensor networks
- WiFi-based vehicular Internet access
