Robotics Paper Awards: RSS 2012 and IEEE ASME 2012
IPAB robotics research have recently been awarded two awards at prestigious conferences. The paper tilted 'On Stochastic Optimal Control and Reinforcement Learning by Approximate Inference' [pdf] by K. Rawlik, M. Toussaint and S. Vijayakumar was awarded the Best Paper Runner-up Award at the R:SS 2012 conference in Sydney. The paper titled 'Exploiting Variable Physical Damping in Rapid Movement Tasks' [pdf] by A. Radulescu, M. Howard, D. Braun and S. Vijayakumar was the finalist for the Best Student Paper Award at the IEEE ASME AIM 2012 conference. Congratulations to the authors and keep up the good work!
