Agamemnon Krasoulis

I am a PhD student under the supervision of Prof. Sethu Vijayakumar (University of Edinburgh) and Dr. Kianoush Nazarpour (University of Newcastle).  I am a member of the DTC Computational Neuroscience and Neuroinformatics of the School of Informatics, University of Edinburgh.

My research interests lie in the intersection of signal processing, machine learning and computational neuroscience. I aim to develop biologically informed tools and techniques to improve the performance of myoelectric prostheses and brain-machine interfaces (BMIs) for motor rehabilitation.  

I hold an Diploma (equivalent to MSc) in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Patras, Greece, and an MRes (Hons) in Computational Neuroscience and Neuroinformatics from the University of Edinburgh. Prior to joining the DTC, I worked as a research assistant for the Hearing and Balance Centre, Institute of Sound and Vibration Research, University of Southampton, on a EU-FP7 project, where I focused on speech intelligibility enhancement for cochlear implant users.
