Validated integration is an alternative way to solve ordinary differential equations.
It has some characteristics that make it more appealing than traditional methods.
Those characteristics include guarantees about the true solution and the ability to
being able to handle uncertainty in input and the system itself.
In this talk we'll give an overview of validated integration and briefly describe why
it is expensive for practical problems arising in biology. We will also talk about using
the structured nature of biological systems to reduce the expense.
