Can quantum computations be verified by classical entities which are not able to compute the results themselves? We experimentally demonstrate how an almost classical verifier can test a quantum computer using four photonic qubits. Due to the constant number of qubits accessible with current technology the class of testable quantum computing seems to be restricted to those computation that are already simulatable on a classical computer. However, we demonstrate the verification of a task that is impossible classically, not for the reason of high complexity, but rather on the basis of physical principles. This is the violation of Bell?s inequalities.
