Ricci flow is a geometric transformation to modify curvatures in a manifold. We will discuss this technique and how it is adapted to the discrete graph of a sensor network. The transformation gives a new *virtual* shape to the network; data storage and routing algorithms for sensor networks run more reliably and efficiently in the virtual coordinates.

The talk will be self contained -- it will not rely on any particular knowledge of geometry or networks.
