Abstract:
A recurring question in computability theory is: What is a good definition of
'computability' for objects of some given kind? I will briefly
outline some recent ideas which seem to establish the existence of very
robust computability notions for many kinds of operations arising in
traditional mathematical analysis. The focus will be on examples rather
than precise formulations of the general theorems.
