Abstract:

A revision of the first-year Informatics curriculum is under discussion. Currently, in their first semester students are required to take a course on functional programming in Haskell and a course covering propositional logic and finite state machines. There is some disagreement concerning how much logic should be covered at this point in the curriculum, and I would like to get some input from members of LFCS.
